Industrial Punch Press - Safety Application

A punch press in operation is a very formidable machine. Keeping employees and plant visitors away from the operating pinch point is critical to safety. In many installations proper use of safety mats can protect both the operational hazard, in this case the press, and any moving machinery around the process. This may be conveyors, or robotic machines in support of the press. Safety mats are installed around the machine cell and shut down operations should a person enter the restricted area.
